Hello everyone! Happy 4/13! This is what I’ve been working on since Genesis Frog came out, which is what inspired this game! It’s been about a year and a half of work, all in my off-time, but unfortunately it’s nowhere near completed, and a lot of the art in there is placeholder. So far, I’ve done all the writing, coding, music, testing, art (with the exception of the character portraits), and it’s been a lot of work so far! I am still 100% devoted to this project, so it will definitely be finished no matter what. Anyways, with that said, I’m gonna’ give a synopsis of the game!
Salamancy is a top-down 2D adventure game about the consorts. It follows the adventures of a single unnamed consort in their journey across the Medium. Throughout the game, they meet a ton of diverse characters, which is the game’s main focus. There’s a huge spell system where you can create your own spells with different attributes and elements and create everything from huge, powerful fireballs that explode into trees, or tiny lightning strikes that turn into smaller lightning strikes that poison enemies and deal chain lightning damage. I am really bad at writing synopses, but basically this game is cool and you can do a lot of stuff, so yeah there you go.
But yeah, so I am really excited to put this game out there and show people more about it, and I want to start getting more involved in public space with it! I want to release a demo very soon, so that is something that you can all look forward to. I’ll explain much more with subsequent updates on this blog, so that is something else. Thanks for reading!
